Here's the latest on the eyeball situation. The Dr. today cauterized the bottom drain hole that goes from the eye into the nose. (For those of you who might not know what that means is that he laser welded the hole closed). We are hoping that this will help lubricate the eye by containing the drops and ointment I put in my eye instead of most of it draining into the nose passage. He said it is still very dry even though I am putting ointment in 6 times a day, an eye drop 6 times a day, another eye drop twice a day, and another one once a day. Now with the procedure today another drop 3 times a day for 2 weeks.
Other than that it is still in the SLOW healing process. Part of the problem is keeping it moist because of the alkaline burn which destroy the cornea.
