Da Eye

The Dr. visit today was very good. The eye is continuing to heal without the contact bandage. There is also a little improvement with what I can see.
The Dr. seemed to be a little disappointed to find that this was my last visit with him. Thursday, we will be headed South, to Kalamazoo in a round about way. We head up North, through the Upper Peninsula then down through Wisconsin.
Martie's siblings and cousins are having a family reunion the 12th through the 16th of Sept. near Kalamazoo.

From there we head to Kentucky to work at Amazon.com till the 23rd of Dec.
Now to find another Cornea Specialist in Kentucky or Tennessee!  I expect to have  1 appointment in Kalamazoo then 10 to 12 weeks in Kentucky, for a couple of appointments (While working at Amazon.com).  Then I'll be going back to Dr. Fouracker in Brandon, Florida (With his office waits of 2-4 hr again !)

You all have a Wonderful Labor Day Weekend,

Filbert

The Eye

Today's visit to the Dr. turned out to be interesting. He couldn't find the contact bandage that he put in last week. What is more interesting is the eye has healed and hadn't deteriorated as it had previously, when I have lost the contact. It also seemed that the vision test is just a smidgen better than last week.
Dr. Arkin said I should stop the Vigamox eye drops but continue with the Pred Forte drops. He also is having me put an ointment (Refresh P.M.) in my eye twice a day.
My next appointment is Aug. the 30th. unless I have a problem before then.

So until then,

The Eye

I went to the eye Dr. yesterday and the results are not near as good as the previous appointment. It seems as though the contact lens bandage that was supposed to be in my eye wasn't there. I must have popped it out somehow. Who knows how? Sneeze, absently minded rub the eye in sleep, who knows? Anyhow, it was GONE! So, that means a slight defect of the epithelial cells, had deteriorated the vision a little, (Which I had suspected-since my vision had seemed more blurry).
New bandage lens put in, eye drops frequency remains the same, another appointment next Tuesday, the 13th.
Also going to have blood drawn on that day to make some more of my ASED eye drops.
Hope everybody is enjoying your Summer.

Until next week,

Filbert
