On our way home, We stopped in Plant City for fantastic Strawberry Shortcake !  A perfect ending of a great day with friends !

Our last beach stop before heading back to Orlando ...
Venice Beach is stop"Grainy"....Nokomis Beach is full of shells- But Siesta Beach is voted # 1 beach in USA .....Notice how white the sand is....and yes there was also fog beginning to roll in...so Filbert Venice& Bobbi almost look like they're in a snow storm  or a "Surreal " Movie !

Best Clam Chowder!

After spending most of the day with Oregon friends - Tom & Bobbi, checking out some beaches on the Florida Gulf side....We stopped at Captain Curt's on Siesta Key- Sarasota for lunch .  EXCELLENT clam chowder !!!!  Voted Best Clam Chowder @ Chowder Festival in New England

Special Family Friends- Dan Schouten & family stopped for a little pizza buffet before heading to their hotel.

Picked up Dan, Magi & boys from Orlando airport when they flew in from Oregon.....we stopped at Cici's Pizza buffet.  While enjoying their pizza buffet...a woman came over and made these balloon alligators!

Sandhill Crane Nest

We have a number of Sandhill Cranes here at Orlando Thousand Trails ...Strangely enough these Sandhill Cranes build their nests in the middle of the local pond ....Because of their name .....I would have thought their nests would have been located on Sandhills!!

Headed to Venice for the weekend

My sister Jan & husband Fred' s RV Club is having a Valentine dry camping weekend in Venice.  So we are headed to Venice to join them.....should be fun ... especially if it doesn't rain ! :)

In December, our 6 month old LED TV died .....since it was under warranty ...the manufacturer had is send it back for repair ....in the meantime, we ordered a cooling fan....which came today!  So Filbert promptly installed the fan....now all we need is the TV replacement !!  Hopefully, it will be arriving soon!
