The Eye
The Dr. visit today was very good. The Dr. said my eye was in the best condition he has seen. He removed the stitches that were in the eye lids since they were aready to fall out and weren't doing any good.
No more Vancomyicin drops. Vigamox is now twice daily. He also left the contact bandage in place. Dr. Arkin said he will remove it in three weeks at my next appointment, & then most likely, put another one in at that time.Thursday, July 4, 2013

Volleyball Tournament
Martie was scorekeeper for the 12-15 year olds. With much help and patience from a Cherry Festival Intern named Charlie, Martie was able to make a minimum of mistakes !!! Just makes me think of & miss my athletic volleyball wizards granddaughters!
Optimists Duck Race
They dropped 2 big bins of duckies for a race down Boardman River .....the race is expected to last about an hour for about 1/2 mile . Which sounds more like a "Float "!! All good and all for a good cause .
Air Dog Competition
One of the popular events at the Cherry Festival is the Air Dog Competition. The idea is to throw a favorite "Fetch Toy" for your dog and then the dog is to run off a platform and JUMP off the platform and hurl themselves as far as possible so they jump further than any other dog !

The Eye
The Dr. was happy today. He said the eye was 50% improved from last week. Eye drop frequency remains the same. That's good, because I was having trouble getting used to and remembering which ones when, & how many times. Now it will be the same for two weeks, as he is off to Hawaii for a week. If I have any irritation or problem with my eye before my next appointment, there is another doctor on call. My next appointment is July 17th.
