The Eye

Today's Dr. appointment was much better than last week. The Dr. said that the eye was three-fourths the way back to where it was before he removed the contact bandage. He changed the eye drops dosage again. I think he is trying to confuse me !. Anyway, I'm now doing Vigamox and Vancomyicin three times daily. He increased the ASED to six times daily, and the Pred Forte stays the same at two times per day.

When I asked him if he still wanted me to get up in the middle of the night to do drops, he said only if I wake up. I think he forgot that he had said that eight hours was to long to go without drops & had instructed me to get up in the middle of the night to do the drops.

Now I'll probably wake up because I don't have to... No alarm clock for sure!!

Next appointment is Wednesday the 3rd of July.

The Eye

Yes, I know that I'm a day late, for those of you who are really keeping track of me. The Dr. visit yesterday wasn't good. The eye deteriorated considerably and the Dr. is baffled as to why. He had removed the "Bandage"-contact lens the previous appointment and as has been the case, the eye got worse. His remark was that it had been healing so well, so now why this? Anyhow, he put a contact lens back in yesterday, and today the eye was improved a little. He said we'll probably have to keep the contact lens in for some considerable time.

He changed one eye drop frequency (Pred Forte) from 3 times daily to 2 times daily. The other drops remain the same including the 3:30 A.M. dosage.

Next appointment is Wed. the 26th.

The Eye

Another visit to the Dr. today. Kinda the same story, another loose suture, taken out. He said it appears another will be loose by next appointment on Wednesday the 19th, so it will come out then.  He changed my least costly eye drop, (The one that doesn't have to be refrigerated) from 4 times a day to 3, all others stay the same. He removed the clear contact/bandage today. I asked him why I can't see the big E on the  eye chart but I have more visibility overall. After he examined my eye he said, I'll tell you in a month. I'm guessing he doesn't know. That's okay anyway as the eye is healing.

After a "Hard days" work of 3-4 hrs....it's time to relax around our firepit ...listen to the birds singing ....and unwind  :)

The Eye

Well, ye ole eye ball is healing. I couldn't see anymore letters on the eye chart than before, but the Dr. said it is healing. There was another stitch loose today and he removed it. I asked why the stitches are coming loose and he said because the eye is healing.

He changed the eye drop frequency again today. Vigamox and Vancomyicin 5 x a day. The ASED and Pred Forte remains the same, 4 x a day.

Next appointment, Tuesday the 11th.  Yea!!! A whole week before another appointment! :)
